Journalists are not natural collaborators. Our autonomy is critical to our work. Typically, we keep sources and funders ― and each other ― at arm’s length. But with journalistic quality, revenues and public trust in decline, we in the news industry need help.

Discourse Media believes we can achieve more by collaborating than we can accomplish alone. That’s why we partner with community organizations, media outlets, funders and our audience. We work with people and organizations who value the impact that public interest journalism can have on the issues facing our communities, and who commit to respecting the journalistic autonomy required to produce independent journalism our audience can trust.
