Summer fellowships 

Discourse Media offers 16-week summer fellowships for emerging journalists and researchers. These are paid, entry-level positions appropriate for applicants with some journalism or research education or other relevant experience. Fellows learn about collaborative solutions journalism and community-based reporting and engagement practices while doing their own reporting and contributing to Discourse Media projects.

Access to Energy Journalism Fellowship

Discourse Media created the Access to Energy Journalism Fellowship in partnership with the Waterloo Global Science Initiative to support journalism that investigates drivers of energy poverty around the world and potential solutions. Since December 2015, we have been collaborating with nine fellows from around the world on a collaborative project called Power Struggle, which aims to be a global hub of high-quality reporting and ideas about access to energy.
