Introducing Radiyah Chowdhury, Discourse Media's new associate producer
As associate producer of social and digital, she'll help us identify story ideas and opportunities for deep engagement with our readership.
Please welcome Radiyah Chowdhury, Discourse Media’s new associate producer of social and digital. Radiyah will manage our social accounts on a daily basis, support the production of our in-depth investigations and help build our communities, both online and offline. She has an important role to play in identifying story ideas and opportunities for deep engagement with our readership.
Radiyah has worked with various media outlets, including CBC, CPAC, TVO’s The Agenda with Steve Paikin, and Canadaland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University, where she also co-hosted her own community radio show about poetry and current affairs for CKCU FM 93.1
Most recently, Radiyah completed an internship with NPR in Washington, D.C. There, she worked with the organization’s Diversity Desk and ran its Source of the Week database.
Radiyah’s excited to learn and contribute to the team. “I’ve always been interested in digital media and exploring innovative ways to connect with readers and tell stories. Discourse has similar interests and is very receptive to new ideas, which makes this a great fit for me,” she says.
